Phuket Town or Phuket City
This is probably the place where tourists expect to come first. It is like the departure from the Phuket Airport, and it is the place where the routes to other places meet. That means if you are at Phuket town you can go to every attractive place in Phuket. But anyway, in Phuket town there are a lot of attractions, places, people and culture.
There is no racism or prejudice here. There are LGBT groups and lots of transgender people, who can live their lives here openly.
Nightlife is actually the first reason why people come into Phuket town. The restaurants, discos and bars make this place so exciting.
Phuket Old Town
The Old Town is most attractive historical place you should visit. It was established during the peak of the tin mining industry at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. It’s the place you can take photos as if you are living in the old period and restaurants, coffee-shops, boutiques or bars make the Old Town more attractive.
Phuket Walking Street
The very popular Thai-style market on Talang Road is open every Sunday from 16.00–22.00, and it’s where you can see Southern life and buy souvenirs. Moreover, there are lots of street snacks like grilled chicken, beef and pork or Thai desserts.
Patong
This is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches, located in the northwest 12 kilometers from Phuket town. Patong Beach got struck by a tsunami in 2004; though there was huge destruction it has recovered and has become one of the most beautiful beaches once again.
Patong has many side attractions which all tourist should not miss the change to visit.
Flying hanuman
The very exciting zipline adventure that allows you to fly in the air through the beautiful forest .
Kathu waterfall
This beautiful waterfall persuades you to get under the water, and it’s the easiest falls to get to.
Rawai beach
This boat beach has a lot of longtail boats lined up along the beach for hire. There is the Sea Gypsy village, which is where you can buy very fresh seafood every day. Rawai Beach is where you can see and learn how beach life is, because there is no place for you to take a sunbath and no jet-skis and banana boats.
Rawai’s side attractions are so amazing that if you just hear the places’ names, you will really want to visit.
Promthep Cape
Phuket seashells museum
This is where 2000 species of valuable seashells from all over the world are exhibited, but many are from the Thai sea. And there are gifts or souvenirs made of shells sold for tourists who are interested.
Kata beach
This is a perfect beach for a family trip, snorkeling and diving. Kata viewpoint is awesome for shooting photos. Kata is not too far from Phuket town, so it’s not hard if you come here after visiting Phuket town. And the coral reef along the way to Pu Island is amazing.
There are a lot of activities in Kata for travelers because this amazing beach has good shopping markets; sports activities like sailing, snorkeling or even surfing; and if you love eating you can make an eating journey that involves tasting food as the street food in Kata is so interesting.
Kata’s side attractions include not only the beach; there are also shopping places or religious places.
Palm square Phuket
This is located on the inside land. There is a dining plaza and there are not only restaurants but also spas, fitness centers, and yoga.
Phuket’s Big Buddha
The 45-meter tall Buddha image sitting on the Nakkerd hill is Phuket’s religious landmark and is a must-visit place once you come to Phuket.
Phuket International Airport (HKT)
The airport is where the department of the tourists who want to travel in Southern Thailand is, and it is the second busiest airport in Thailand. If you hear about HKT, don’t think that it is just the airport because the airport’s side attractions are amazing as well.
If you can’t decide where to go in Phuket , just move out…
Mai Kaw beach
This what we call “UNSEEN THAILAND” where you can take a sunbath and watch the planes landing on the runway. But be careful while planes are taking off because of the jetstream that will blow the sand into your eyes — and do not throw anything up into the air or use drones that will damage the planes.
Karon beach
This 3-kilometer beach is the third-longest on Phuket Island. The beach is good for a relaxing trip if you want peace and quiet. It is less busy than Patong Beach, which has clear water and white sand. Though Karon is a calm place, it also has nightlife spots that you can come to for enjoyment with friends. And you can also go for sailing, snorkeling or diving. Here in Karon the sea and undersea life is so, so amazing.
Temple Market
This is the most popular bi-weekly market within the temple area in Karon where you can go shopping for everything you want—clothes or street food … anything.
